Hello, I'm José Gasparian, a Product Designer at Elephant and Photographer based in SF. I've previously worked at Huge and Globo.com.

I love digital design, which I majored in at PUC-Rio, graduating in late 2014. My final project was selected to be part of the 2nd Design Week (2014) at Fabrica Bhering. I started working as a designer at Huge in 2015, developing work for clients such as Estadão, Kitchenaid, CVC and Itaú. As a photographer I've worked with Netflix, ASUS, Uber, Mr. Porter and Condé Nast Traveler. I also love music, and have done some side projects with talented friends, including Album Colors and 2016 Huge Best Albums. In 2018, I joined the Article team at Globo.com and helped develop their new design system.

As a multi-disciplinary designer and photographer, I believe that aesthetics should work together with function. My design process is always filled with a lot of experiments, small interaction prototypes and a keen eye for detail. My work is very influenced by nature, pop art, street photography, editorial design, and always leans towards minimalism and simplicity. I follow the ideals of hard work, Dieter Rams and Steve Jobs, and I’m a big fan of Nicolas Jaar and James Blake.

You can find me on Instagram 1, Instagram 2, Twitter, Linkedin and Behance. If you want to say hello just reach me at jose@gasparian.co. 👋🏻
